This Privacy Policy explains what information NGL collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run an anonymous-messaging service.
1. Information we collect
- Messages: the text of anonymous messages and the recipient’s username. We do not ask senders to sign in or provide their name.
- Account basics (recipients): your chosen username, your selected platform, and — if you add one — a profile picture, stored on your device.
- Technical data: approximate IP-derived data and timestamps, used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and safety.
- Push tokens: if you enable notifications, a device token so we can alert you to new messages.
2. How we use information
- to deliver messages to the right inbox;
- to moderate content and enforce our Terms;
- to prevent spam, abuse, and fraud;
- to send you notifications you’ve opted into.
3. What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not reveal a sender’s identity to recipients. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
4. Data retention
Messages are retained while your account is active. You can delete individual messages in the app, and resetting your account clears your locally-cached data. We may retain limited logs for safety and legal compliance.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.
6. Third-party services
We use Supabase (database), and Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications). Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
